Red Hill Waste Management Facility Tours

Excursions to the Red Hill Waste Management Facility are available free of charge to groups and residents in the region. Please be advised this is a tour of a landfill facility and includes a 45-minute bus tour around the site followed by the opportunity to visit the education centre, for activities aligned with the GREAT sort campaign.

Private Weekday tours - schools and larger community groups

Available Thursday and Friday only.

Due to the nature of the site, excursions are only available for ≥ Year 3 students in the region. Strictly a maximum of one bus visiting the site at a time and a minimum group size of 15 people is required. Smaller groups and individuals are encouraged to attend a weekend tour.

Public Weekend tours

There are five tours throughout the year that are held on a Saturday morning. Each tour will depart from one of the Local Government areas in the region.

Registrations are essential, for more information and to book visit the EMRC’s Page. Attendees must be a minimum of 6 years old.
